Hasan Jawaid Khan

Coming from Biological Sciences background and Journalism, Hasan Jawaid Khan made significant contributions to the domain of Science Communication for more than 30 years. Have dabbled in writing, reporting and editing: features, reports, reviews, editorials, books, radio & film scripts. Been delivering lectures and radio talks and coordinating science writing workshops. Currently, Chief Scientist & Head, International & Popular Science Division at CSIR-NISCAIR. He has authored/co-authored 12 books, edited 15 books on scientific topics, Published more than 1000 articles & editorials in newspapers and magazines. Delivered more than 200 lectures on science communication & science popularization, 200 radio talks on science-based themes. He is actively contributing to two websites, Science Reporter and CSIR News. His contributions in bringing the developments relating to COVID-19 to the forefront are appreciable.
Dr. Nakul Parashar
Dr. Nakul Parashar is the director of Vigyan Prasar, Noida. Prior to this, he has lead global companies like Exela Technologies as Senior Vice President and Macmillan Publishing Solutions as Vice President and Head. He has worked in Academia, Information Science, KPO and Legal Information sectors. With a Master’s in Computer Science & Physics and Doctorate in Applied Physics, he has set up three start-ups in IT and services successfully which includes JV Info Solutions. He has been a Scientist at CSIR. He also worked in various publishing jobs. He was Associate Editor of DST book projects, Living Media India Limited and Chief Scientific Editor of Thompson Press India Limited.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar Srivastava
Dr. Pradeep Kumar Srivastava is the former Dy. Director & Senior Principal Scientist in the Medicinal and Process Chemistry Division of CSIR’s Central Drug Research Institute at Lucknow, India. He is the first person in the world to start a novel concept called “SCIENTOONS” a new class of cartoons, which are based on science, the father of SCIENTOONICS, a new branch of science communication, and the co-author of the book ‘Scientoonic Tel Tale of Genome and DNA’. He was selected as the ACS Chemistry Ambassador by the American Chemical Society and the International Brand Ambassador for the Singapore based magazine “The Young Scientist”.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Patairiya
Dr. Manoj Kumar Patairiya is the Director of the CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (CSIR-NISCAIR), New Delhi. A well accomplished scientist and science communicator, Dr. Patairiya has served as Adviser/Scientist ‘G’ in the DST. He was a Visiting Professor of Global Communication in Science & Technology at the Chungnam National University of the Republic of Korea and serves on Editorial Boards of different research journals in India and abroad. Recently he has been elected as the Vice Chair of the International Inter-Academy Group on Science Communication which is a recognition of India’s leadership position in science communication at the global level.
Pallava Bagla
Pallava Bagla is a Photojournalist & Science Editor at New Delhi Television – NDTV & Correspondent SCIENCE mag. He’s a charismatic science communicator respected for his deep understanding of Indian S&T system. He has won many national and international awards for his work. Explaining complexities of science in a simple language is his forte. He has extensive experience in reporting about the Indian atomic energy program.
