Ocean-dependent Economy for Sustainable Development
Being the second largest populous country in the world, India is constantly in need of resources from nature for consumption by its ever growing population. Luckily, the country is surrounded on 3 sides by ocean, where a huge treasure trove of water, fish, minerals and currents remain largely untapped. By developing and deploying the right engineering solutions, the true potential of the ocean can be leveraged in economical and environmental friendly ways.
Dr. Shailesh Nayak details the needs, possibilities and India’s strategic, technological efforts in adopting an Ocean-dependent Economy.
