Communicating Science via Cartoons
Science communicators need to constantly reinvent themselves by adapting to changing times and media landscapes in order to capture the attention of the target audience and get their message across. The social media age makes content creators compete for eyeballs with constantly refreshing feeds and non-stop inflow of information. Lowering attention spans also mean that this information needs to be condensed into its most concise form without distorting the actual message. Hence educators need to turn to novel strategies to make their content more interesting.
